Brother, let me be real with you. I haven’t lived a life without challenges, but my toughest battles were never about the external—they were internal. Yes, I lost my father young, carried father wounds, and knew the sting of being misunderstood. But God’s favor and the encouragement of others have always been there. Someone was always speaking life into me.
My biggest fight wasn’t life—it was me. I didn’t believe the good others saw. I believed the lies. The pain. The fear.
People said:
“Christian, you’re mature for your age.” “You’ve accomplished so much—married, children, business, ministry, author, homeowner…”
But deep down? I felt behind—driven by self-imposed pressure to hit milestones by certain dates. Full-time in business by this year. Millionaire by that year. This many clients by this week. When those dates passed, I felt like I failed.
The cost? My health. My presence with my family. My income.
The Scripture That Shifted Me
Hebrews 12:1–2 (TPT):
“…We must let go of every wound that has pierced us and the sin we so easily fall into. Then we will be able to run life’s marathon race with passion and determination… We look away from the natural realm and we focus our attention and expectation onto Jesus…”
When I got honest, I couldn’t blame the devil, my culture, my upbringing, “the man,” or my past pain. I put that weight there. And it was slowing me down.
Let’s Talk, Man to Man
What are you carrying that you were never meant to carry?
- How’s it working for you?
- What’s it costing you?
- Where will you be if you keep carrying it?
It’s time to stop carrying emotional, spiritual, and relational weight that isn’t your divine assignment.
Your Pain Isn’t the End
Pain will either paralyze you or build muscle in you—it’s your choice. I know what it’s like for pain to silence you. I wrote a book on it (When You’re Speaking But Still Silent).
How to Lay It Down — The R.I.N.S.E. METHOD™
- Recognize the Weight – Name it. Is it from God or from culture and ego?
- Identify the Assignment – If God didn’t give it to you, it’s a distraction.
- Neutralize with Truth – Replace lies with God’s promises (Matthew 11:28–30).
- Starve What’s Misaligned – Stop feeding what drains you; strengthen what aligns.
- Execute from Center – Live, lead, and decide from presence—not pressure.
My Challenge to You
The earth needs the version of you aligned with God—not weighed down by what He never assigned. Take a breath. Celebrate how far you’ve come. Stop beating yourself up. You are a King, powerful, chosen, and exactly where you need to be.
Your Next Step
If this spoke to you, DM me. Let’s have a Presence Discovery Call. We’ll identify the weight, expose the distractions, and create a plan to release them—so you can run light, free, and focused.
Stop carrying what isn’t yours. Start leading from your center.
Blessings,
