Kellie Rhymes hosts the Bougie Baldie Podcast and interviews Dena Stanley, a 50-year-old alopecia advocate and founder of Royal Hair Loss Studio in North Arlington, Texas. Dena shares that her hair loss began in her early 20s after a bleach treatment and is hereditary in her family, describing the emotional toll, attempts to treat it (dermatology injections, steroid treatments, products, oral minoxidil, and an FUT hair transplant), and the relief she felt after embracing baldness. 

She explains her studio’s mission to provide a safe, private space for women to release trauma and build confidence, offering scalp-care services like clay masks, hot oil massage, steaming, and non-surgical hair replacement units, plus wigs and other styles. Dena discusses her support community, plans for insurance-billed units, a 2026 podcast, and expanding awareness and locations.
