A few weeks ago, I shared that I’ve stepped into a brand-new season. After more than a decade of being bi-vocational as a Presence-Centered Coach & Speaker, I am now fully working in my business.
On one hand, that’s a celebration. But in some spaces, fear still tries to creep in.
As you know, I am very Presence-Centered. My heart posture is to live fully present in the presence of God—operating from Heaven’s perspective, carrying a Kingdom mindset, and living “on earth as it is in Heaven.”
My Kingdom assignment is clear: helping spiritually minded, high-achieving leaders (especially my Black and Brown brothers) destroy distractions, align with God and the realm of Heaven, and fortify their focus on their Kingdom assignment while operating here on earth.
🚫 The Nonprofit Mentality Trap As An Entrepreneur
Here’s the other thing: I do this as a business, not a nonprofit.
A lot of spiritually minded entrepreneurial leaders carry a nonprofit mentality—believing that if God’s name is stamped on something, or if it’s faith-forward, then services should be free or “as close to free as possible.” There is a place for that…
That’s not my view as an entrepreneur and my prices reflect that. Why? Because my work isn’t charity—it’s Kingdom. And the Kingdom operates on value, alignment, and stewardship.
My Old Dis-tr-action: Fear of Lack
For years, my distraction was money. I believed everyone else could have enough, but somehow my life had to be a financial struggle.
I agreed with lack because my belief system was locked onto earth’s perspective of success instead of Heaven’s. But Jesus modeled a Kingdom economy that brought Heaven’s flow into earth’s reality.
If you read last week’s newsletter, you know how I now live—from hustle into Heaven’s economy flow. That blueprint changed everything.
👀 What About You?
Maybe lack hasn’t been your distraction. Maybe it’s fear of success. Fear of failure. Fear of being alone. Fear of dying. Or maybe another fear you can fill in the blank.
Bruh—no matter what it is, call it what it is: a dis-tr-action that must be destroyed.
🌾 Fear Is Like a Weed
Fear isn’t destroyed by one prayer, one journal entry, or one inspirational message. It’s relentless, like a weed that keeps growing back.
But here’s the game-changer: Two things can be true at the same time—
- Fear may still be present on earth.
- But in Heaven’s realm, fear is already destroyed.
Where you fix your focus determines how fear affects you.
So then, the question is—where do we go from here together?R – Recognize the Distraction
🔁 The R.I.N.S.E. Method™ Applied to Fear
Fear rarely says “I’m fear.” It disguises itself as:
- Procrastination: “I’ll start tomorrow.”
- Perfectionism: “It’s not ready yet.”
- Overthinking: “What if I fail? What if they reject me?”
- Control: “If I can manage every detail, nothing will go wrong.”
👉 Pause right now. Where is fear showing up in your life, leadership, or relationships? Write it down. Recognition is the first step to reclaiming your power.
I – Identify Your Divine Assignment
Fear thrives when clarity is absent. But when you’re clear on assignment, fear loses its grip.
- Fear says: “You can’t.”
- Assignment says: “You must.”
- Fear says: “What if you fail?”
- Assignment says: “What if your silence costs someone their breakthrough?”
👉 Write the assignment fear has been clouding. Naming it brings clarity.
N – Neutralize the Distraction with Truth
Truth breaks fear like light breaks darkness.
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.” (2 Tim. 1:7)
Your declaration:
“I reject fear. I receive power. I walk in love. My mind is sound, focused, and fortified.”
👉 Say this out loud three times. You’ll feel the shift immediately.
S – Starve What’s Misaligned, Strengthen What’s Divine
Fear feeds on attention. Starve it by:
- Refusing to rehearse “what ifs.”
- Cutting off conversations that feed doubt.
- Limiting distractions that fuel anxiety.
Strengthen what’s divine by:
- Writing down three times God came through when you were afraid.
- Taking five minutes to pray, breathe, and remember His faithfulness.
- Feeding faith instead of feeding fear.
E – Execute from Center with Focused Action
Fear shrinks when you move. Presence destroys paralysis.
👉 What one action have you been delaying because of fear? Send the email. Make the call. Draft the proposal. Have the conversation.
Execution doesn’t require all the answers—just aligned action. Do it today.
✅ Repeat as Needed
Fear is stubborn. But every time you R.I.N.S.E., you weaken its grip. Make this a rhythm until fear no longer has the power to distract you.
A Presence-Centered Declaration…
“What I fear is not my focus. My focus is fortified in God’s presence. Fear may knock, but faith answers the door.”
