✨ Post: The True Meaning of Being a Blessing
The true meaning of being a blessing to someone should never be rooted in pride or the desire to be recognized.
When a person tells others everything they have done for someone just to receive praise, they have shifted the focus from serving to self. God gets all the glory, not us.
Being a blessing comes in many forms — a prayer, encouragement, time, kindness, resources, or simply showing up when someone is in need. True blessings do not need an audience. They flow from a humble heart.
When we give only to be seen, we risk blocking the very blessing God intended through pride. Pride is not of God, and He is more concerned with the motive than the moment.
There is a difference between being a blessing and being a godly blessing.
One seeks credit.
The other seeks to honor God.One is rooted in the flesh.
The other is led by the Spirit.A godly blessing speaks for itself. It does not need to announce itself.
Let what you do for others be done in love, humility, and obedience — and let God receive all the glory.
