Uncertain times can range from your family, job, finances, church, friends, and your health, but the question remains how to trust God in those challenging times? Unfortunately, we cannot avoid uncertainties, and we must handle all situations in a Christ like manner. God did not promise us that it would be easy, but He always promised to be there. In our uncertainties, we often get in the habit of needing clarification instead of trusting God.
There is a difference between clarity and trust. Clarity can cripple us in our spirituality, faith, and our overall relationship with God. It is seen as an idol that replaces our genuine trust in God. Psalm 62:8 says, “Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us.” Our trust is strongest when clarity does not exist.
Faith is a gift that has been given to us and is the best ingredient to a life of peace, love, joy, and happiness despite uncertainties. There are many scriptures in the bible that will help us when going through challenging times. Let us look at some of these scriptures:
Psalm 46:1 “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
Psalm 34:17 “When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.”
Isaiah 40:31 “Do not fear, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and I will help you. I will uphold you with my righteous hand
1 John 5:5 “Who is that overcomes the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?”
John 14:1 “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. “
John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. “
Philippians 4:6-7 “Do not worry about anything instead pray about everything and you will experience God’s peace. “
Psalm 55:22 “Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved. “
2 Corinthians 5:6-7 “So we are always of good courage. We know that while we are at home in the body, we are away from the Lord for we walk by faith, not by sight. “
We must learn to dominate our battlefields in prayer and through the word of God. Pray without ceasing, because it stops the enemy from invading your home, job, finances, health, community, marriage, etc. Nothing ever comes easy because the devil is always lurking around the corner to steal, kill, and destroy. Always keep pressure on the enemy and do not let up even when you do not feel like it.
We must verbally cancel assignments that are meant to destroy us in uncertain times. It is a faith fight every day and standing firm to our beliefs trusting God is what will bring us through every time. We cannot conquer our challenges with our own strength but through Jesus Christ. James 5:16, “The effective fervent prayers of a righteous man avails much. “Even in uncertainties, we must walk and agree in the alignment of God. Begin to see yourself as a fearless warrior in the kingdom of God and that is who you will become.
In Proverbs 23:7 “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. “Our flesh is weak; therefore, we must put it to death by destroying its power. Getting the word of God in our heart will shift our emotions. Encourage yourself daily and speak prophetic words over your life, family, marriage, friends, enemies, finances, job, health, etc. Yes, your enemies as well because they cannot have power over you unless you allow it. You have the power to break every stronghold in the name of Jesus.
Always be quick to shift the atmosphere and do not allow a pity party to enter your mind. My phrase is to vent, repent and let it go. Weaponize yourself with the right weapons such as gospel music for example. Play songs that uplift the name of Jesus, victory, praise, and breakthrough in your life. Light and darkness cannot share the same space, and Satan does not like it when you praise the name of Jesus. Do not entertain your soul or stroke your flesh.
Communication with God is our life source through prayer through good and troubled times. This is the first thing the enemy will try to shut down is your prayer life. In doing so, the enemy will start infiltrating all parts of your life. It is a gradual process, but we must have a prayer warrior in all families. We fight our battles in prayer, and God does the impossible. Be confident in prayer knowing that God will answer.
We must be unstoppable, immovable, unshakable, and unbreakable in challenging times. 1 John 4:4 lets us know that we are more than conquerors, because the greater one lives inside of us. At all times, we must walk in authority and in Luke 10:19 states, “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. “Putting troubles on the run requires us to know who we are and the authority that has been given to us as a child of God.
When feeding the spirit more we begin to starve the flesh which in turn weakens the flesh, and those uncertainties no longer bother us. Submit to God and always resist the enemy. Believe in yourself seeing the victory and knowing that God has already done what you have been praying for. Trust the process every step of the way and thank God in advance for the victory. Do not wait until the battle is over to give thanks. We should be thankful from the beginning to the end.
